According to R. Lingienė, 30 people participated in the aforementioned celebration, which took place on August 28, currently 9 cases of the disease have been confirmed.
“Hookah was smoked during this celebration and all the sick, that is, 9, that is, smoked hookah (…) If there were more hookah smokers, then we are expecting more diseases,” R. Lingienė told a press conference on Monday.
The first diseases related to this holiday were registered on August 4.
“The relatively high number of exposed people associated with this approach is currently around 100. These people are considered high-risk people, so they are all isolated. They come from such important institutions as the Trakai district municipality, police officers, logistics companies, elderly employees. We are waiting for the results of these high-risk people, ”said R. Lingienė, according to her, all these people are being investigated.
According to her, some of the patients do not feel any symptoms, some feel very lean, that is why many people who participated in this celebration went to work and visited public places.
“We still feel the continuation of the August holidays. It is possible that we will register more new cases”, R. Lingienė does not doubt.
