When people talk about Indian drugs, they usually imagine what kind of spiky herbs and smoky spinners. Such things can only get you in trouble. Much stronger stuff is legal: it’s Indian food.
Once I saw for the first time how food is made in India, I rolled my eyes and continue to use them to this day: if we Lithuanians sprinkle spices with our three fingers, meanwhile the dishes are seasoned with a bunch. The abundance of spices is such that then it changes the streams of consciousness: not only the heat of the pepper, which seems to warm the whole body and brain and fill it with flames, but all the receptors are heated.
I don’t advise anyone to eat Indian food at night (and eating late anyway is not a very good idea anyway), stay at least a few hours before going to bed – otherwise your sleep will be restless as will all the senses. go wrong and you will have colorful thoughts in your mind. Here’s the need for medications that I mentioned.
I remembered a Lithuanian scientist who said that oranges and pineapples are not possible for Lithuanians because they are alien to our geneticists; Of course, the illusion is that something strange is not possible for us (on the contrary, we need as many foreigners as possible to expand feelings and experiences), but the truth is that Lithuanians are not used to feeling strong and are afraid of strong taste . The average Indian dish has as many spices as the average Lithuanian consumed fifty years ago in his life.

Therefore, strong Indian tastes are absolutely necessary for Lithuanians to stop being sleepy villagers, for whom the most interesting thing in life is a solid fuel boiler and a Swedish water pump. Uff, how not to tolerate the curiosity of the Lithuanian beech and the “we neither have nor need” the mentality of foals. Educate and educate them. Well, I do my best and do reviews every week specifically for you.
I know and love Blue Lotus restaurant for a long time, I used to write about it (in 2016). It was also on my list of the best restaurants of 2020 that he published Delphi. But how did they deal with the quarantine and restrictions? Taking food away is the smallest of the little challenges.

For Indian cuisine, this is an easier task than for other market players (it is true that Blue Lotus is not only Indian cuisine, but also has Thai dishes, and as long as there is no specialized Thai restaurant in Lithuania, it is the best place to enjoy Thai dishes). Indian cuisine was used to being transported. In England, Indian food (although very often produced by ethnic Bengali and Pakistani people as the Indians themselves are from India) is due to a certain stratification, as the Indians themselves are more likely to work as doctors and pharmaceuticals, but of course there are always and everywhere (exceptions). Courier delivery is a practice that has been around for decades. He knows how to transport Indian food. He is not afraid of the carriage. Lastly, there are few cantinas or “lunch” restaurants in Indian cities; couriers deliver hot lunches to offices. Therefore, it is a common practice for them.
Panyro tikka (7 EUR) is a sandwich with panyro, Indian white cheese (tikka are pieces of meat, chicken or something like that, cheese marinated in yogurt and spices and fried); here it had a great scent, it felt warm and nice.

The Honey Pepper Crispy Duck (13.50 EUR) was cozy, sweet, and reminiscent of sweet and sour pork or chicken from Chinese cuisine when cooked as needed, rather than slipping into a sweet crease (which you won’t find in Lithuania – Lithuania does not have good Chinese cuisine, it does not even have mediocre Chinese cuisine, just poor and tragic, where all the crunchy dishes are not crispy but fluffy), so if you miss, like me, delicious Chinese cuisine. like the ones served in London or New York, one of them can be found here in an Indian and Thai restaurant. The paradox? Maybe, but when you know what you want, you end up finding it.

The Rogan Josh sheep (€ 14.50) had to be spicy, and it was spicy, and the meat itself was more tender than the most tender meat imaginable: it could be eaten with a spoon. Rogan Josh is a type of curry cooked with Kashmiri spiced tomatoes (Kashmir is located in the extreme north of India and borders Pakistan and China), and there is a very strong feeling of abundance of spices here. For me, it was the best of the dishes.
Zeera potatoes (also known as Jeera, and Jeera in English) prepared with cumin (4 EUR) were excellent; All in all, it is surprising to see how Indian cuisine, where potatoes originated only three centuries ago, was introduced by the British and Portuguese. and made one of the main vegetarian ingredients. Indian cuisine is the only one I know of that can make vegetarian dishes not only edible, but also boring and delicious.

I liked the shrimp cutlets less (Thod Mun Goong, € 7.70): this classic of Thai cuisine was dry and dominated by crumbs instead of shrimp. I would like more juiciness.
The liquid dishes were also very close to my heart: mango lassis (yogurt drink, 4.10 EUR) was fantastic, rich in flavor, and whipping (yogurt and vegetable and herb sauce, so good to save against the heat of the pepper) was one of the best made for me. I had to eat in my life.

For two, we paid EUR 62.10 for a large dinner, including a EUR 5 tip for the courier.
Yes, Indian food travels very well, we are convinced. The best Lithuanian Indian restaurant did not undergo any quarantine (well, except maybe in the sense that you cannot receive guests in the restaurant itself), the food is excellent, and while writing a review I thought about ordering again. Five out of five geese.
