Laura Matjoaityt, president of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), says that she has no information that Rolanda Gudynien, president of the uninominal electoral commission of Utena, is an assistant to the conservative Edmundas Pupinis, who won the elections there.

According to her, the CEC members who participated in the vote counting reported that R. Gudynien did not participate in the vote counting, only organized the venue.

He added that information on the situation in the uninominal constituency of Utena will be available for re-examination and discussion when the constituency commission presents the tally protocols to the CEC.
According to L. Matjoaityts, the chairman of the Utena Regional Commission had to get rid of the employer-related issue.
Considering the fact that one of the candidates is the chairman of the commission, it would be best to get rid of the issue related to the direct employer, so there is no conflict of interest, said L. Matjoaityt, president of the CEC.
In the uninominal constituency of Utena, the counting of votes was organized by the chairman of the commission R. Gudynien, who also works as an assistant to the member of the Seimas E. Pupinis, who was recognized as the winner of the elections.
He stated that he had complained to the SNB and had not participated in the vote counting, but had organized it and carried out some technical work.
The Lithuanian Social Democratic Party intends to lodge a complaint with the CEC regarding this and other possible violations.
After the vote counting on election night, the Social Democratic leader Gintautas Paluckas and the conservative candidate E. Pupinis voted 7,075 votes each.
On Monday, a vote count was arranged, then u E. Pupin got 7,072 votes, ou G. Paluck 7,070. Upon receipt of the lost advanced ballot envelopes in another constituency Tuesday, it was established that 7,076 voters for E. Pupin and 7,071 constituency voters for G. Paluck.
