It also emphasizes that in the municipalities with the worst epidemiological situation, the focus is not on monitoring the self-isolation of the population, but on controlling movement and public places.

“I think the self-isolation check is being carried out effectively enough, I don’t hear any major complaints. The biggest problem for us is that the data provided is sometimes incorrect, ”R. Matonis told Eltai.

“But controlling 100 percent self-isolation is clearly impossible,” he said.

R. Matonis also stated that the introduction of local quarantines in the country would not make it easier to ensure the self-isolation of the population in the “black” municipalities.

On the contrary, in the “black” municipalities more attention is paid to the control of public places, as well as to the control of the movement, and in those municipalities where the situation is better, where there is no control of the movement, it is precisely the officials who you can pay more attention to self-isolation controls, “said R. Matonis.

However, according to the Police Department, more police forces are assigned to municipalities where the epidemiological situation is worse.

“If the county is not included in the list of” black “or” red “municipalities and there is no movement control, then some officials are assigned to help the nearest neighboring counties. This has been going on since day one (quarantine – ELTA) ”, said R. Matonis.

ELTA recalls that the prime minister’s adviser, Živilė Gudlevičienė, states that the Government intends to consider introducing local quarantines on Wednesday as the number of coronavirus cases increases in the country. He also noted that there is currently a lack of mandatory self-isolation controls in the country.
