We stopped at Barbeque and Grill and looked around: the atmosphere is cozy, suitable for street food. Although it is close to a busy street, there is also a lot of greenery here, so a good balance is maintained in the choice of location. Light and festive music was played in the surrounding area, and there were several standing tables with roofs for ordered food.

The environment is very orderly, clean, with disposable utensils, made of wood and cardboard. The impression is that you will get quality food.
The service is very nice – we chose what to eat for about 5 minutes, asked what was done with it, but the girl in the food cart explained everything patiently and politely and shared advice on what to choose.

Chicken Fillet Chunks – Crispy and very fragrant. The meat is of good quality, without any strange odor of fat. French fries – also good, not too salty, crispy.
Pig torn with brooch Bread burger – great as a homemade one. Much juicy, fragrant, cooked slowly. barbecue meat, which is almost more than the buns themselves. Red cabbage salad with apples, very fresh.
The bread is fresh, inside the sandwich, a moderate amount of melted cheese. In addition, the amount of food is ideally selected, there is no need to waste food.
The only downside: there could be a greater variety of drinks, because here: water, cold tea, lemonades and juices. I would like something more exclusive, say a homemade ginger or lemon lemonade or some other original local drink.
When the girls who attended us asked her if many people visit and buy the food they produce, she said that there are so many people who have to close prematurely because they sell everything. We soon convinced ourselves of that: we were waiting for those who did not order before us, they also ordered food after us. And while we were eating, about 20 more people came.

After paying for the food, we also spoke to the chef, one of the cart’s owners, Gintautas from Klaipėda. According to Gintautas, Delfi, who has worked as a project manager in Lithuania and Russia all his life, has been maturing this dream for many years. So when the opportunity arose, along with his life partner and daughter, he founded this charming gastronomic facility in the port city, which opened at the end of May.
“The story is very simple: the idea was born after many years of work, because I worked as a salaried worker, I took a serious position. But the idea came up to finish these shows and create a job for myself. I already had an idea of what it could be and started to think a bit in that direction. But the idea advanced when I concentrated on locating. Because I know Klaipeda very well, because I am one hundred percent. A Klaipeda resident, this site near Stuland fell into the limelight. For this place we participated in the contest and we managed to win it. Of course, I had to invest in this ultra-modern wagon, which is the first of its kind in Lithuania. We commissioned the production of the car, in communication with the boss Montvydas Kazlauskas, we created a menu and it took a year and a half to finish everything.
Today we realize that the Palace of Versailles can be built here, but the most important thing is the quality of the food, it is not possible chalture and it takes a lot of effort. Therefore, we do not have bad reviews on the quality of the food. And when fall comes, we hope to have a stable work schedule and to work regularly. We have ideas to improve the menu and offer not only sandwiches, but also meat with separate garnish, ”said Gintautas from Klaipėda.

According to him, the car is adapted to work at both -40 and +40 degrees Celsius. “It is autonomous, has air conditioning, professional kitchen equipment,” said the man.
The food cart is open Tuesday through Saturday, from noon to night. However, it is closed on Sunday and Monday.
“We will rest on those days because we need to spend time on family matters. Profits are not a priority at this stage. Perhaps next year we will work in a different way, more organized. However, we do not want life to pass us by, because everything takes a lot of effort, but we still feel a lot. kaifu“Gintautas said.
