Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton won the event in the eventless F-1 race in Turkey and clinched the seventh title. Racing Point driver Sergio Pérez and Ferrari spokesman Sebastian Vettel crossed the finish line in second and third place.
Even before the race started, Antonio Giovinazzi and George Russell did not control or damage the car track. It is true that both athletes started the race.
After the start, the winner of the classification, Lance Stroll, kept the lead. Max Verstappen, meanwhile, started badly and fell to eighth.
After making the first turn, Hamilton, starting from sixth place, moved up to third place, but after too wide a turn, he fell to sixth place. Meanwhile, Esteban Ocon and Walter Bott went around the track. The last two, not being able to complete the first lap, collided again on the track. After the incident, E. Ocon was forced to go to the technical service area to change the flat tire.
Sebastian Vettel started better than L. Hamilton. The German started from eleventh position, but after completing the first lap he was already in third position. Later, the German had to do everything possible to save Verstappen, who had caught up with him. The latter, unlike its main rivals, was one of the last to go to the technical service area for the first stop.
Returning to the track after the first stop, Mr. Verstappen found himself facing Mr. Vettel, but behind Mr. Pérez, who was in second place. In an attempt to overtake the opponent, the Dutchman went off the track and turned around. However, the athlete managed to return to the track and continue the race.
Hamilton, who failed to get past Vettel, also had to leave the track. Taking advantage of that, Alex Albon moved up one position. The latter later managed to surpass S. Vettel as well.
