Guoga’s fate in the Labor Party hung in his hair: Is he already looking for a new faction?

“He must resign as party president”

On Tuesday, A. Guoga told Eltai that such public statements by V. Uspaskich are not in line with the values ​​of the Labor Party and are intolerable as they can harm Lithuania in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Guoga also said that if Mr. Uspaskich did not distance himself from his statements and continued to spread misleading information to the public, the chairman of the Labor Party should change.

“It is perfectly understandable and clear to me that the party president’s self-activity with the water trade is in no way in line with the party’s goals, which our voters trusted. After all, the proposal to treat the people from the insidious virus with water pushes the country into the Middle Ages and away from the more advanced states.

“He’s already talking”

The party leader himself explained that he no longer saw the continued presence of A. Guoga in the party.

“Guogai is not here to judge, he is not here for him to decide what to do and what to talk about. The party here is completely “nowhere”. After all, no one is talking at the party that they are gambling or talking about drugs. Nobody blames him for that, each one is doing his own thing. And this (gambling and drugs – ELTA) is really more harmful than drinking my water, “V. Uspaskich told Eltai.

The MEP explained that perhaps Guoga was looking for reasons to withdraw from the party, her faction in the Seimas and to continue working, perhaps, with the faction of the Freedom Party.

“It seems to me that he has already spoken. He not only named me and the party in every way (…) He chose an advertising campaign, perhaps with which the Freedom Party agreed, so he is looking for reasons to leave (. ..). Therefore, it seems to me that his days are numbered “, said V. Uspaskich.

Freedom Group: We are not really negotiating

Delphi Ieva Pakarklytė, the senior of the Freedom Faction in the Seimas, asked this. The Seimas member stated that no such issue was considered.

“We really don’t have such negotiations,” Delphi said the parliamentarian.

“It just came to our notice then. Because that’s (would be, aut. P.) the group’s decision. So until it’s available, I don’t have much to comment on, we don’t really consider it,” he said.

The politician said that A. Guoga himself did not invite to join the faction.

“The group should be consulted if there is such a proposal before it is presented. I have nothing to say. We don’t really invite ourselves, we have not heard such speeches,” said I. Pakarklytė, the senior of the Faction of Liberty in the Seimas.
