Both teams started unsuccessfully, and after three minutes of play, Joffrey Lauvergne became Žalgiris’ second distinguished player – 4: 2. Martin Geben finished the half with 12:14.
“Žalgiris” started the second half a bit more aggressively and went ahead after Lukas Lekavičius’s points (17:15), but the opponents responded with a 3-pointer by Luke Sikma 11: 0 (25:17). For the people of Žalgiris, this was the fifth consecutive victory in the Euroleague.
Kaunas residents proved that they can win without falling fabulously into 3s. This time, the punch was staggered from afar (5/15, 33 percent) and the leg jammed with 16 errors. True, there were even nine made in the first half, and then the situation improved considerably.
ALBA was not the strongest player in this match. The club could not be led by coronavirus-infected strategist Aito García Renaissance (who will be replaced by Israel González), player Peyton Siva and sniper Marcus Eriksson. The end of the match was watched by L. Sikma from the back of the bench.
Žalgiris: Nigel Hayes 18 (6 reps, 3/4 of three points), Joffrey Lauvergne 16 (7 reps, 8/13 two points), Marius Grigonis 12 (5 answers, 4 errors), Paulius Jankūnas (7 seconds) and Rokas Jokubaitis after 6.
SUNRISE: Simone Fontecchio 14 (5th ed., 4th ed.), Niels Giffey (7th ed.), Tim Schneider (6th ed.) And Luke Sikma (5th ed.) After 11, Jayson Granger (5th ed.) And Maodo Lo after 9.
