The head of state said that the Science and Knowledge Day is covered with a special feeling.

“It is always a lot of fun to see children running to school on September 1, dressed in beautiful clothes, holding flowers. It has a special feeling and you want it to happen every day, but the celebrations happen only occasionally.

I am always especially happy to visit schools, gyms with a special aura. I am convinced that this atmosphere is created by people. Where there is a strong community, there is also a strong school, motivated teachers, good students, good results, ”said G. Nausėda.

He joked that there should be mushrooms in the beautiful pine forest next to this school. However, the president urged not to pick them up during lessons, but only during breaks.

The head of state also urged students not to be afraid of making mistakes.

“I want you to dream, that you are not afraid of challenges, that you are convinced that everything is achievable for you, everything is possible. Believe me, it really is. It all depends on your efforts. Don’t listen to those who murmur that you may not be able to do something (…), you are the best.

Choose the path that best suits your needs. One more thing, you are so young that you can make mistakes, don’t be afraid to make them, you can correct them. The most important thing is to be brave, go ahead ”, concluded G. Naus negotda in her congratulatory speech.

Interior Minister Rita Tamašunienė and Vilnius District Mayor Marija Rekst also participated in the September 1 celebration at the Gediminas gym.
