The 15min.lt portal was the first to write about serious crime allegations against a politician accused by an unidentified woman on the night of May 4. According to the portal, the woman claims that the crime was committed on the night of March 15 of this year, at approximately 11 p.m., in a private residential house in the village of Vosyliukai, Trakai district.

Today, the politician says that the police have not yet summoned him for questioning and have not provided him with information about a possible crime. According to the politician, this is nothing more than a political scandal before the elections.

“It just came to our attention then. Before the last Seimas elections in the Republic of Lithuania, there was a ‘listeria’ scandal, and now the violation …
The pre-trial investigation will continue at least until the election. And its result is completely irrelevant. Archived target. Blackened against Lithuania.
The information spread like a virus and I haven’t had any information in 4 days! I request in every way, but the police do not provide me with information and do not invite me to come. What kind of woman who brought it? To which hospital? Why? Why did the applicant take 10 days and the police remain secret for 1.5 months …? “Asks the politician on his Facebook account.

Delfi recalls that Ramūnas Matonis, the head of the Communications Department of the Police Department, stated that the police incident was not announced in the summary of events.

“It was not (published) because, due to the nature of the crime, we did not publish such reports in the summaries,” said R. Matonis. A spokesman for the Police Department does not provide further information on Monday or Tuesday. “A message was received from the woman on March 25. Police are investigating whether such an event occurred at all. We will not comment on the details of the incident, ”R. Matonis replied to the question of whether and when the pre-trial investigation began.

The Code of Criminal Procedure stipulates that the institution must make a procedural decision on a complaint received about a possible crime within ten days, and that the latter must be completed as soon as possible after the start of the pre-trial investigation. Julia Samorokovskaya Delfi, head of communication for the Vilnius County Chief Police Station, which is investigating the victim’s complaint, confirmed that a pre-trial investigation into the criminal case had been launched.

“The investigation was opened on March 25 following a complaint received from the victim about the acts provided for in article 149 of the Penal Code, i. And. For rape,” said a representative of Vilnius AVPK.
