Rokas Giedraitis along with ALBA’s high score (4-0) in Berlin ended the group battles at the tournament in Munich.
Aito Renaissance students fight for first place in Subgroup B at Audi Dome 97:89 (24:21, 22:24, 25:22, 26:22) passed the Ludwigsburg MHP Riesen (3-1) and remained undefeated.
Giedraitis scored 11 points in 25 minutes (3/5 two points, 1/6 three points, 2/2 penalties), recovered and took over 1 ball, made a mistake and committed 2 times.
Well-played Lithuanian friend Luke Sikmai lost a step to the triple double: he had 15 points (1/2 two points, 3/3 three points, 4/10 penalty), 10 assists and 9 rebounds.
Thomas Wimbush and Nick Weiler-Babb scored 51 points for the losers together.
In the quarterfinals, ALBA will face the fourth team from Group A in Göttingen. The first match will take place on Thursday and the second on Saturday. The team that wins the overall result of both matches will continue.
Gytis Masiulis is represented by Fraport Skyliners from Frankfurt (1-3) and will play Ratiopharm from Ulm (4-0).
