Garmin, an American manufacturer of navigation solutions and active leisure technology, has opened new plants and logistics centers across the Atlantic, and innovative automotive equipment and electronic technologies will be produced in Wroclaw, Poland.

The nearly 30,000 square foot BREEAM Certified Manufacturing and Logistics Center is dedicated to the manufacture and delivery of in-vehicle infotainment systems and other automotive electronic components. The new plant in Poland is said to allow the company to serve customers across Europe faster and deliver products faster and develop the car more efficiently in the region.

Close to the highway, with the potential of an airport and quality workmanship, Wroclaw is the perfect place for Garmin’s first plant to focus on serving customers in Europe, says Sean Biddlecombeas, CEO of Garmin EMEA.

In the first half of the year, Garmin will begin inspecting the production process and organizing logistics and delivery activities. The first vehicle system, manufactured in the new factory, is scheduled for 2022. The company currently selects engineers, technicians and installation operators for the new plant.
