“If they want to work individually in the opposition … we focus on the proposals and the implementation of our program,” he said.

We will present a social democratic alternative to the opposition both to the ruler and to the ‘peasants’.

According to G. Paluckas, the Seimas Social Democrats will support the legalization of the association, if it is considered.

“The legitimacy of the association is included in our program and we will support it with our votes,” he promised.

However, he doubts that the conservative and liberal leaders and the Freedom Party can reach an agreement on the legalization of the association.

“They will not agree on this internally and the program will not be interrupted by the government and will be an individual initiative of a coalition partner: the Freedom Party.” I can’t say if the initiative will be voted on, ”said the politician.

Previously, Paluck said that the Social Democrats would support the conservatives who make up the government to the extent that they seek welfare states, and with the liberal partners in the ruling majority, that support will be necessary.

The Social Democrats will have 13 seats in the next Seimas.

G. Paluckas also has a chance to enter parliament, who, according to preliminary data, was five votes behind conservative Edmundas Pupinis in the single-member constituency of Utena. The votes of this constituency will be counted by the Central Electoral Commission for the second time.
