The president did not detail who this person is, but confirmed that he was a politician.
In mid-February, G. Nausėda rejected the Advisor to Prime Minister Lukas Savickas’ candidacy for the Ministers of Economy and Innovation, arguing the lack of experience.
The post of Minister for the Economy and Innovation has been vacant since December last year, when former Minister Virginijus Sinkevičius took over as European Commissioner for the Environment.
