The Ministers of the two countries also discussed the most relevant issues of bilateral, regional and multilateral cooperation: the progress of joint energy and transport infrastructure projects, priorities of the Lithuanian Presidency of the Baltic Council of Ministers in 2021, nuclear safety , Eastern Partnership, regional security and defense, European green course and climate change, other EU and international issues.

Speaking of nuclear safety, Minister G. Landsbergis emphasized the need for joint efforts to ensure the non-purchase of unsafe electricity from the Astravas nuclear power plant, which, according to Lithuanian experts, reaches the markets of the Baltic countries.

The Lithuanian head of diplomacy will also participate in the meeting of the three foreign ministers of the Baltic and the United Kingdom in Tallinn. This is the first visit of Minister G. Landsbergis to Estonia since he took office as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.
