On November 25, around 11:30 a.m., in the Kėdainiai district, Pelėdnagiai elder, officials clarified the illegal fuel trade during the investigation.
The police reported that a Kėdainiai district resident (born 1943) who had illegally sold diesel fuel had indicated that the fuel sold did not belong to him but to someone else.
Upon checking this information, the police officers of the K distritodainiai district, Pelėdnagiai sen. : three motorcycles and two quads, as well as diesel without purchase documentation and pumps for pumping fuel.
The man has been arrested and a decision on pretrial detention will be made after personal interviews. Vehicles possibly acquired for crimes were seized and guarded by agents, and the circumstances of their acquisition are explained.
A pre-trial investigation into illegal participation in economic, commercial, financial or professional activities has been initiated in accordance with Article 202 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter CC of the Republic of Lithuania). 1 d. (for which there is a threat of public work or fine, or restriction of freedom, or imprisonment of up to four years) and for the acquisition or sale of property obtained criminally, in accordance with article 189 of the CC of the Republic of Lithuania. 1 d. (punishable by fine or arrest, or imprisonment of up to four years).
The investigation is organized and led by prosecutors from the Kaunas District Prosecutor’s Office Fifth Division of the Kaunas Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
