When the party’s president, Aušrinė Armonaitė, arrived, she immediately ran towards the leader in charge of security, who explained to the politician that the space would also be observed from the sky.

Although it is forbidden to fly unmanned aerial vehicles over the old town, a special permit was processed before the congress. A powerful drone began to rotate on the roofs of the houses just as the convention began.

How many concentrated forces – I did not name

Asta Padagaitė, the head of the administration of the Freedom Party, before the congress through the portal lrytas.lt Reluctant to reveal the extent to which security forces will mobilize to prevent incidents or whether police assistance will be sought: “As appropriate for public events, we will maintain public order as necessary.”

By the way, there were no police officers at the beginning of the congress, but the crew of the municipal public order department arrived. Saying they were working, the officials declined to be photographed, but greeted the congress participants by applauding their speeches.

Meanwhile, A. Padagaitė taught that the Freedom Party is a political organization open to the public, for which transparency of activities is one of the fundamental values. Although outraged that the party did not require visitors to wear masks, the head of administration said that as the epidemiological situation improved, he decided to hold the congress not only online, but also in a suitable public space.

According to A. Padagaitė, this is not the first public holiday event in Lithuanian urban spaces. In autumn 2020, the party also organized a presentation of the election campaign to the public in the center of Vilnius.

Around – curious bachelor

Although the outraged politicians of the Freedom Party were likely to gather at the entrances to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, this did not happen.

Only single and curious people, some older Vilnius residents getting somewhere, slipped around the fence, and a married couple and an escort waited on the steps of the City Hall, curiously watching the event.

In order not to overheat the sun in the toast square, the congress participants had to hide under umbrellas.

However, this party was ridiculed by passersby. Seeing a raised rainbow-colored bench on the podium, which was previously located in the Town Hall Square, a passerby pretended that party members could also bring a pedestrian crossing.

After renovating one of the Pylimo street crossings in the capital this week and painting it in rainbow colors, several Vilnius residents soon repainted it black. They argued that the multi-colored crossing bothers drivers.

He did not remove his hat during the hymn

Singing the National Anthem at the beginning of the convention, the two young men on duty at the entrance did not wear their hats. The cartoonist Jonas Varnas did not escape his sight. When he made the comment, the young men unequivocally admitted their mistake.

Along with the anthem singers, the engine of the BMW SUV ran, which accompanied the Speaker of the Seimas Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen. Only in the middle of the hymn did the guards manage to turn it off.

Another girl on duty at the entrance, with a drawing of obscene gestures and a tight chain, caught the attention of the girl at the entrance.
