I already said that I crossed the border in Kybartai two years ago by car, before that. after spending three hours with her. Later that summer, it became clear that those three hours were nothing, as there were those who missed nine as well.
For those who are allergic or do not want to go to Russia in their own car (it is normal, I do not like to go to hostile countries in my own transport. Then I tried once, but I think I will not repeat) there is another option – cross the border on foot. Of course, when will this be allowed again after the pandemic ends.
I have done the same. And that was great because the process took about ten minutes. Therefore, there is a possibility that if the driver and the pedestrian line up on the wall at the same time, the driver will still be there and the pedestrian will already have a drink somewhere in the Königsberg cafe. Deal with you. There is a separate walkway for pedestrians at the Kybartai post, where there are hardly any queues.
Kybartai can be reached by car, drop it off here and head to the land of Karaliaučius on your own. Or do what we do: get to Kybartai by train. Traveling in this way is not as inconvenient as it can be, because public transport in Russia is very cheap, and if there is not, you can hire a local the enemy. I’ll tell you all about it soon.
