Representatives of the Bašakšehir team claimed that the fourth official, Sebastian Coltescu, had spoken a racist word to assistant Pierre Webo.

“Why did you say ‘black’?” Webo asked, echoing the judge’s words.

Following a dispute near the court, the head referee sent a red card to former Cameroonian player P.Webo.

Then Bašakšehir’s team left the field. The PSG footballers followed suit.

The Romanian judiciary explained that “negru” means “black” in their language, but Bashaksehir did not pay and told the judges that they did not say “that white man” to mention the white man.

UEFA has announced that it has launched a “full” case study.

It was initially announced that the match would resume that night, but the teams did not want the racist referee to continue working. It was suggested that the referee be transferred to the VAR room and from there the fourth official be invited, but any involvement of the referee that caused the scandal was not appropriate for the teams.

It is announced that the meeting will resume from minute 14 on Wednesday at 7:55 pm. Lithuanian time.

The match will be led by Dutch judge Danny Makkelie, assisted by his compatriot Mario Diks, as well as Marcin Boniek from Poland, and the fourth judge will also be Polish Bartosz Frankowski. Italians Marco Di Bello and Maurizio Mariani will work in the VAR room.

Messages of support for rivals after the scandal were sent by PSG stars Neymar and Kylian Mbappé.

“M.Webbo, we are with you”, K.Mapappe sent a message to Bašakšehir’s assistant, who heard the judge’s response.
