Due to the idea of the institute, almost 900 thousand. It was decided to ask law enforcement to divide the euro into four related companies.

Furthermore, market participants questioned whether the innovation purchased by NMVRVI had already been developed. Spektrolabas, a company belonging to the same group of related companies, has already developed spectrometry-based research on the quality of meat, olive oil and fish with EU funds, while NMVRVI spends money on spectrometric research on meat , olive oil and … salmon.
Both G. Pridotkas and the entrepreneurs who participated in the tender took the position that such a product does not yet exist on the market, but did not explain how the NMVRVI-funded innovation differs from the Spektrolab solution.
Finally, Mr. Pridot himself is involved in the businesses involved in the competition. As a consultant, he participated in the Stop Fake Food project, which developed spectrometric studies of meat, oil and fish. After Siena’s call to GGPrototkus, traces of the head of NMVRVI were removed from the Stop fake food website.

After the publication of “Siena”, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė became interested in this story. As reported to Siena by Rasa Jakilaitienė, Counselor to the Prime Minister, on behalf of I. Šimonytė, the Government Chancellery requested the SFVS to clarify the situation.
Appeals to Ethics and FNTT Officials
The SFVS explained the situation for more than a week. On Monday, a decision was made to entrust the affairs of NMVRVI and the institute director to law enforcement and ethics officials.
“The SFVS has conducted an internal investigation, as a result of which it will approach the FNTT and the Official State Ethics Commission regarding the investigation of possible infractions in pre-commercial contracting,” says R. Jakilaitienė in a written comment. .
According to her, the institute directed by G. Pridotko almost 900 thousand. did not coordinate the pre-commercial purchase of € 1 billion with the SFVS.
G. Pridotkas told Sienai that he had not backed out of this purchase because he did not see the need to do so. The Stop fake food project reportedly did not attract funds and the NMVRVI manager was not paid for the inquiries.
Augustas Alešiūnas, a businessman directly involved in the management of two of the four participants in the NMVRVI tender, explained the situation in a similar way. According to him, G. Pridotkas worked in the “Stop fake food” team for “social reasons”.
A. Alešiūnas does not deny that the companies participating in the NMVRVI tender are related to each other. However, the entrepreneur claims that the links between the companies do not give reason to believe that competition may be distorted.
