Other related cases have either been pending or are currently pending in court. Three Šiauliai doctors and two heads of the NDNT Šiauliai territorial divisions were charged in these cases. In addition, allegations of medical bribery were made in 61 pre-trial investigations.
Pre-trial investigations were organized and controlled by prosecutors from the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Division of the Šiauliai Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
The sentence can be appealed to the Lithuanian Court of Appeal within 20 days.
