The Prienai Cbet team achieved a very dramatic victory in the Betsafe-LKL championship. On Sunday afternoon, the people of Prieniai eliminated the deficit by up to 23 points and crossed the barrier of the “Neptūnas” of Klaipėda.

Cbet’s basketball players, who returned to the game in impressive fashion, defeated Neptune 72:66 (10:15, 15:18, 28:13, 19: 7).

Two completely different sides of the match were played on Sunday at the Prien Arena. In the second half, the guests of Klaipėda still reigned here, who had an advantage of 23 points (40:17) and it seemed that the intrigues in this duel continue to be less and less. Even before the long break, Tomas Gaidamavičius’s students retained the 21-point lead.

However, in the third and fourth quarters, the hosts, basketball players from Prienai, began to rage on the field. In the third quarter alone, CBet scored 28 points, more than the first two combined (25). In this way, the Mantas Šernius army eliminated the 15-point lag during the quarter and awarded the teams 6 points before the decisive quarter.

In the decisive quarter, CBet did not stop and showed fabulous defense: until the last minute of the quarter, Neptūnas had only scored three points and the Klaipėda people had finished with 7 points.

In total, CBet allowed opponents to score just 20 points in the second half of the match, when they more than doubled on their basket in the first two quarters – 46.

At the end of the third half, CBet captain Egidijus Dimša received a foul double point from Norberto Giga, who became the team’s most useful player: the center scored 13 points and bounced 9 balls.

After this duel, the CBet and Neptune teams have added eight victories. It is true that Prienai’s team still has a match in reserve.

“CBet”: Egidijus Dimša 13 (ninth rep.), Dominykas Domarkas 12 (4/5 triples), Ignas Sargiūnas 11, Mindaugas Sušinskas 10 (2/6 triples).

Neptune: Matas Jogėla 14 (fifth room), Benas Griciūnas 10 (eighth room), Simas Galdikas, Džiugas Slavinskas (fifth room) and Evaldas Šaulys (sixth room) after 8 o’clock.
