Once again, a Ukrainian who filed a forgery got caught in the border guards …
At the Medininkai point, border guards detained a Ukrainian who had traveled from Belarus to Lithuania by truck and suspected that they had a counterfeit driver’s license in their country.
On Monday night, officers from the Padvarioniai border guard of the SBGS Vilnius border team reviewed the documents of the Volvo truck and the person driving it from Belarus to Lithuania at the Medininkai checkpoint.
This time, an experienced “driver” was caught at the border with a partial fake: the suspect is 60 years old.
The driver, a citizen of 60 Ukraine, presented a driving license issued in his country along with the required identity documents. He was immediately suspicious of SBGS officials. A closer examination of the document revealed that it was allegedly a partial forgery.
Border guards confiscated the forged document and the foreigner had to return to Belarus. The driver will continue the trip with another driver, who will be dispatched by the freight forwarding company, SBGS representatives said in a statement released Tuesday.
15 minutes It has recently published reports every few days of insidious foreigners detained in various circumstances representing legal drivers (see related articles). Incidentally, Lithuanian officials not only like Ukrainian citizens, but also Uzbeks, Kyrgyz and Belarusians.
