We remind you that on public holidays it is necessary to hoist the flags of the Lithuanian state at home, and if you do not do so, you will be fined.

All citizens must respect the flags. They must comply with the requirements established by law, be neat and not discolored.

Flags should be hoisted three times a year on public holidays: February 16 – Lithuanian State Restoration Day, March 11 – Lithuanian Independence Restoration Day and July 6 – State Day (coronation of the King Mindaugas from Lithuania).

The flag must be flown at 7 pm and lowered at 10 pm It can be raised in the building (on a pole installed in front of the building’s facade), above or in the building. When the national flag is hoisted vertically, there should be a yellow stripe on the right, a green stripe in the middle, and a red stripe on the left.

We remind you that responsibility for infractions of the flag-raising procedure is provided for in article 519 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which provides for warnings or fines of 10-12 Eur for infractions of the flag-raising procedure. Repeated infractions carry fines of € 12-16. The maximum fine for repeated infringement is 30 euros.
