According to preliminary data, a notification was received through the electronic system of the police service epolicija.lt that an explosive had been placed in Kaunas Akropolis.

A Kaunas police spokeswoman reported that the people had been evacuated from the building.

On Saturday afternoon, after Kaunas Akropolis received a notification about explosives possibly hidden in the shopping center, the “Shield” plan was presented and the evacuation of the building began immediately. All visitors to the store, staff and administration personnel of the center were evacuated from the building within 10 minutes. In total, there were about 3,000 people in the building during the evacuation. There are no victims.
