On Saturday, the rain started more in the southern part of the country, and now the rain clouds are gradually moving towards the eastern parts of the country. So Vilnius came to that intersection, then it rained on Saturday and it rains on Sunday, meteorologist Vytautas Sakalauskas told LRT radio.
According to him, those rains were caused by a fairly active vortex of low atmospheric pressure, and will determine the weather in Lithuania on Sunday. Its greatest influence will be felt in the east of Lithuania, here in many districts it will rain, a light rain will also come to the southwest of Lithuania, but there will be much less rain here. It will be lighter, less cloudy and drier in western Lithuania. In Samogitia and by the sea, it is unlikely that it will rain.
Nasty northeast wind blows, north wind, it will be quite gusty and gusty. The temperature, where it rains and where the cloud layer is thickest, will be low, in eastern Lithuania there will only be 6-9 degrees of heat. In western Lithuania, where it is drier and where the sun even appears, it will be warmer. In the west and along the sea, the air is still likely to warm to 10-13 degrees.
The cyclone will not leave our country, it will remain to the northeast, to the north, said the meteorologist, only on Monday it will be calmer. We will rain again in many districts, it will not be as intense, but it will spread to the western districts of the country. It will be even cooler in Lithuania.
At night, the soil temperature is up to 2 to 7 degrees, and the soil surface is likely to be in the northwest, where frosts down to 0 to 2 degrees are possible. The heat during the day will also be mild, similar to Sunday, at 6 to 11 degrees and again in the western outskirts of the country it is likely to reach 12 to 13 degrees.
Later, the rain will decrease, unfortunately we will have frosts, said meteorologist V. Sakalauskas. On Tuesday, rain is expected only in some places, but it will be even colder: at night it will be from 1 to 6, the surface of the ground will freeze to 0-4 degrees.
During the day there will be more sun, the sun will rise more often, and the temperature will rise to 8-13 degrees. We will not avoid frost on Wednesday, it will be in many areas, but during the day the sun will still warm the air to 9-14 degrees.
The days in the second half of next week will be a degree warmer.
