The conflict arose on Gediminas Avenue and the intersection of Vilnius streets. The people gathered here began to insult the police officers, calling them “fascists”. During the riot, the police detained two men, one of whom was wearing stylish prisoner garb.
Vilnius County Police Spokesperson Julia Samorokovskaya informed BNS that around 4 pm Up to 12 people, dressed in prisoners’ clothes with the inscription “I am free”, gathered near the Christmas tree in the Plaza de Cathedral.
“They walked around the Christmas tree in the Plaza de la Catedral and advanced down Avenida Gediminas. Patrols were sent to clarify the situation, ”said a police spokeswoman.
According to her, when the officers arrived, people cursed them, one of the participants in the campaign beat the policeman.
