The story began around 2 p.m. the night officers received a report of a conflict in the family’s gardens. A police team was dispatched to the scene.
When officers arrived at the specified address, the man, for whom the police were called, resisted, got into a Volvo car and tried to run. Night raids began on the streets of Šilutė.
Flying on the central street of the city, Tilžės St., at a small bend in the road, the driver did not control the car, he got into the lane of traffic in the opposite direction, crossed it and hit a tree.
The blow was powerful, but for the fierce driver it was not a motto. Again he resisted the crew of officers who had pursued him. Additional police forces came to the rescue and border guards joined.
Finally, the man was immobilized. They took him to the hospital with protection.
The car was completely destroyed after the accident. According to locals, if the car hadn’t gotten stuck in a tree, it would have walked into a store right here.
The incident is under investigation.
