Evaldas Kairys, who played for Vilnius “Ryte”, is close to a deal with Turkey’s Afjonkarahisar’s Ahyon team, Sportando reports.
The 207-cm-tall, 29-year-old basketball player has spent the past two seasons on the Vilna team “Rytas”.
Last season, the midfielder averaged 6.9 points and 4 rebounds in the European Cup, while LKL had 7.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 11.1 profit points.
Kairys competed in Turkey from 2015 to 2018, when he defended the honor of Ushak Sportif and Biujukchek Tree Demir Insaat.
Last season, Ahyon was ranked 13th out of 16 teams in Turkey’s top league.
“Rytas” has already filled the middle scoring chain: the club saved Martynas Echodas and signed a contract with Rokas Gusčius.
