Egidijus Potockis, 39, whose last known residence is the Garliava district nursing home, has been included in the list of the most wanted sex offenders by Europol, the European Network of Active Search Participants (ENFAST) and law enforcement agencies European. According to the authors of this list, two minutes is the average time during which the police authorities of the Member States of the European Union register a sexual crime in Europe: rape, rape, sexual violence or others. Anyone can become a victim of a sex crime, although women and children are often victims of similar crimes.
According to the portal kauno.diena.lt, it is suspected that E. Potockis raped the same partner three times together with two accomplices during an April 2012 issue.
Three rapes a day
E. Potock was then 31 years old. And he has already been convicted twice for robbery and once for theft.
His accomplices have already been convicted of the rapes. And, according to the police, they have already served their sentences because they did not serve five years in prison.
The victim with a mental disorder met one of them, specially summoned for this purpose. Although she enforced the law, she said she was tricked into helping transfer money. An acquaintance who called her, who was with two other friends, took her to the bank and found out that she needed to take out a loan. However, the bank did not give him this. Then they all went to the house of one of the future rapists on Karmėlava Sodų street, who washed them with alcohol. There, depending on the case, the woman was raped twice, first in the bathroom and then in the bedroom. One crime was committed at night and the other in the morning. The victim said that she did not resist because she was afraid of angering the rapists so that they would not beat her. He was also intoxicated, which he couldn’t resist either. However, she was sexually intercepted against her will. And in the morning they were also told to clean the house, so that there were no traces of drinking. And after that, she was taken to the rapists’ acquaintances in the Prienai district, where he again had sex with her.
E. Potockis, who managed to hide, claimed in court that the woman had voluntarily interacted with them. And this wasn’t the first time he had approached the police after that. It is said that in the past, blackmailers managed to persuade her to withdraw her statements, after paying the required amount. However, they could not refer any of these people to court.

The search for E. Potockis was announced by the Kaunas County Police Chief Commissariat in 2014. A year later, after receiving the European arrest warrant issued by the Attorney General of the Republic of Lithuania, an international search was announced. And this year, having been included in the aforementioned list of the most wanted persons suspected of sex crimes in Europe, E. Potockis became the most wanted Lithuanian in this category.
