According to Jurgis, the couple realized in 2003 that this issue is very sensitive, but they did not express their position adequately and clearly: “This time we expressed everything and justified our opinion. We don’t wonder how bad it is, we just take action and leave the operator. People choose an organic or non-organic product, and we also choose telecommunications that are right for us. We understand that it hurts people and it is inconvenient to talk about this issue. “

We live in a democracy where freedom of expression is tolerated, so I would be very surprised if they sue us. “
We remember that Jurgis and Erica had spoken about violence and its victims last week by sharing a video in the social space. On Thursday night, George and Erica again addressed their supporters and people who are following the situation. Once again they explained why they reacted in this way and what they wanted to pay attention to.
“We understand how cold it is in here and how uncomfortable it is for you. We understand how inconvenient this is for the Lavrinovich family and we are sincerely disappointed by it. Erica said that for women to dare to speak out about uncomfortable topics related to violence, they need to feel heard and noticed. The couple also claim that approximately half of the Lithuanian population believes that “when a case of sexual or other violence occurs, it is the women’s fault.”
