Elonas Muskas threatens: Tesla Cybertruck could cost a million dollars

Cybertruck is a great electric truck that should reach its first buyers this year. A car with three engines will be able to drive up to 750 km and 100 km / h between charges. It will arrive in about 3 seconds (cheaper versions, slower). And where is the autopilot, passability, shatterproof glass, shatterproof bodywork, max load, integrated plugs and compressor? Cybertruck has a lot to offer. And for a very low price. Actually, Cybertruck will cost 50-70 thousand dollars.

Or a million. Cybertruck and Semi tractors are being developed with the new standard 4680 batteries. They are simply necessary for them – heavy machines without them would not be able to offer the features already advertised. However, developing and preparing 4680 batteries for production is a very expensive process. This basically means that Cybertruck can only be cheap if Tesla makes a lot of them.

Elonas Muskas said in a quarterly discussion at the company that Cybertruck’s price could reach $ 1 million if production falls short of planned volumes. This means that the Cybertruck would be delayed, sold at a great loss to the manufacturer, or cost more than a million dollars.

Production of standard 4680 batteries puts a lot of stress on E. Muskus – he admitted that he gets calls from suppliers at midnight too. Furthermore, Tesla, like the rest of the industry, still struggles with a global chip shortage.

Semi was supposed to appear on the roads this year, but it has already been announced that it will be postponed until next year. Meanwhile, Cybertruck, according to E. Musko, will remain Tesla’s best product, which will be very different from anything other manufacturers offer.
