On Monday morning, the website of the Central Electoral Commission already publishes data that is still subject to change in some percentage points, but in the single-member constituencies it is clear who will meet in the second round of the elections. In the Alytus constituency, Povilas Labukas, a candidate for the Lithuanian National Christian Democratic Union, won the most votes. Vytautas Bakas, a self-proclaimed independent candidate, received just a hundred fewer votes.
Laurynas Kasčiūnas, a candidate for the Lithuanian National Union of Christian Democrats, also became leader of the Dzūkija constituency. Juozas Baublys, candidate of the Liberal Movement, obtained two hundred fewer votes. Kęstutis Mažeika, candidate of the Lithuanian Peasants and Greens Union, stood out in the southern district of Sūduva. In the second round, he will meet with Vaida Šalaševičius, candidate of the National Union of Christian Democrats of Lithuania.
In the second round, Andrius Palionis, candidate of the Union of Peasants and Greens, and Jūratė Zailskienė, candidate of the Lithuanian Social Democrats, will meet in the Dainava district. In the Jotvingiai constituency, Zenonas Streikus, candidate of the Lithuanian Union of Greens and Peasants, and Vilius Semeška, candidate of the Union of the Lithuanian Homeland-Christian Democrats, obtained the most votes.
The second round of the Seimas elections is on October 25.
