It is important that the person’s place of residence is in Lithuania, that they are not married in Lithuania or abroad, or that the marriage is divorced.
An application for the benefit of a single person can be submitted online through the Sodra personal account (www.sodra.lt/gyventiui), by phone (1883 or (+370) 5 250 0883) or by arriving at the Sodra territorial branch.
This benefit can be requested as of July 1, but no later than 12 months from the date on which the right to this benefit arises.
As of July 1, the cash social assistance benefit to the poor (social benefit, compensation for heating and hot and drinking water), widow’s pension and single person benefit will not be included in income, and will not be Widow’s pensions are taken into account when determining a person’s financial means to pay for social services.
