Earlier, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė mentioned that the vaccination of children 12 years and older will start in June, but the process will take a long time, because there are about 120 thousand children who can be vaccinated.
Currently, all residents over 16 years of age can be vaccinated in Lithuania, which can be done with the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccines; it would also be administered to twelve-year-olds. His vaccination with Comirnaty was approved by the European Medicines Agency in late May.
Children from the age of twelve have already been vaccinated in Italy, Germany and other countries.
According to A. Dulkis, there are currently free vaccines available in Lithuania for all manufacturers that are used in the country.
“Personally, I was very afraid that there would be a situation: I want to register, but there is no vaccine that I want. So far, the situation is such that all vaccines are available, just sign up, ”A. Dulkys told Knowledge Radio.
“It just came to our knowledge then. At present, when mass vaccination began, a total of more than 200 thousand people have been registered. People,” he said.
Last week the mass vaccination of the population in Lithuania was launched: all residents over 16 years of age can be vaccinated.
