According to the latest data from the Kaunas City Municipality, there are currently 4,648 people with coronavirus infection, and a total of 5,613 people are infected in the city.
In the past 14 days, the number of new cases per 100,000 city residents reached 829.4, up from 808.3 on Monday.
ELTA recalls that the highest number of new cases detected per day was reported on November 20, when the infection was diagnosed in 434 residents of Kaunas.
Last day 184 new cases of infection were detected and, after the death of one more resident, 48 residents of Kaunas have already become victims of the COVID-19 pandemic. Another 18 people infected with coronavirus died from other diseases. However, the number of recovered Kaunas residents, as reported Tuesday, increased by almost a hundred in one day, from 809 to 899.
