There will be light rain in many places on Tuesday night, and scalds will form somewhere. Southwest wind, south wind 7 to 12 meters per second. The temperature will range from 1 degree cold to 3 degrees hot. During the day, there will be a lot of precipitation, the wind will be in the south, southeast 8-13 meters per second, in some places the gusts will reach 15-18 meters per second. The temperature will vary from 0 to 5 degrees.
On the night of Wednesday December 23 there will be a lot of snow and drizzle, which will turn into rain, during the day it will rain a little. At night, the westerly winds will be 8 to 13 meters per second, gusts off the coast will reach 15 to 17 meters per second, and during the day the wind will weaken to 6 to 11 meters per second. The temperature will be 1 degree cold to 3 degrees at night and 2 to 7 degrees during the day.
On Thursday, Christmas Eve, precipitation is forecast in many places, more intense, in the southern districts.
In foggy places, fleece. The wind will change direction from 4 to 9 meters per second, the temperature will be 2 degrees cold to 3 degrees at night and 0 to 5 degrees during the day.
On Friday, Christmas night, in some places there will be light rain, a blizzard will form. The wind will be from the northwest, north at 6-11 meters per second. The temperature will withstand 3 degrees cold at night and 2 degrees hot, 0-4 degrees hot during the day.
On the second day of Christmas, there will be a lot of snow on Saturday. The wind will be from the northwest at night, 6-11 meters per second in the west, 8-13 meters per second in the southwest and up to 15 meters per second at the seashore. The night temperature will be 4 degrees cold to 1 degree heat, during the day, 1 degree cold to 4 degrees hot.
According to the Hydrometeorological Service, the coldest period during the Christmas period was December 26, 1996 in Ukmergė, when the thermometer showed 32 degrees of cold. The warmest during the holidays was on December 26, 2016 in Kybartai, when the temperature reached 9.8 degrees.
According to the climatologist of the service Viktorija Mačiulytė, on average, the minimum, that is, only about a third of the Christmas periods with snow are recorded on the coast, in Klaipėda and Nida, the majority – in the north, northeast and southeast of Lithuania: Dūkšte, Utena, Varėna, Biržai, Vilnius.
