Participants in the inauguration rehearsal were quickly pulled from the west side of the Capitol. Rehearsals, including the army orchestra, were instructed to enter; they were escorted to the hideout in the Capitol complex.
People who took part in the trial said officers yelled at them, “This is not an exercise.”
The United States Secret Service, responsible for security during the inauguration, assured that there was no danger to the public.
