The photo of the seagulls caught near the Curonian Lagoon was so beautiful that Paul gave in to pressure from those around him and recently sent it to the editorial office of National Geography.
Little is known, but filming and photographing drones for the fourth consecutive year is one of Paul’s greatest passions and hobbies. Due to the unique images, the magician can get up in the morning and to the sky to run his plane. Or, conversely, filming a sleeping metropolis at night, according to the press release.
LNK news viewers repeatedly saw his captured image – it was Paul who captured the capital, which was emptied uniquely due to quarantine. These images seem to go down in history.
“The drone allows you to quickly get to the scene and see everything up close. When the sewer pipe exploded and the contaminants flowed into the Neris, I shot the drone and filmed the place as close as possible. When we went to the beach with my family, we got into a big traffic jam. After launching the drone, I immortalized a serious accident and sent the material to my colleagues for information, ”says Paulius, who often does not leave home without an airplane.
It is true that once trying to capture a large concentration from above in the Seimas, Paul had problems.
“The uniformed officers have been warned,” recalls Paul. – In fact, now the editing of drones is very difficult. Basically, it can take an entire day to get permission to take off, so the bureaucracy simply makes it impossible to film events quickly. “We came up with the idea of capturing the new presidential source from above, but we didn’t get permission, the object is very protected.”
According to P. Skučas, to inform the public, journalists face requirements that prevent them from fulfilling their duty on time when filming the latest technologies.
Paul laughs that he’s probably the only presenter who not only runs his show, but also shoots it, or even shoots it himself. Good evening, Lithuania often shows images taken by Paul with the drone.
“Good evening, Lithuania” Paulius leads along with Karolina Liukaityte. It is true that as of this Friday, two more new hosts, Eglė Šantaraitė and Aurelijus Bezekavičius, are contributing to the production of the show. They will have two new sections, Eglė – on culture, Aurelijus – neckless conversations. From now on, on Fridays, “Good afternoon. Lietuva ”will be one more hour and will last until the LNK news.
