Laurynas Birutis and Laurynas Beliauskas with Obradoiro CAB of Santiago de Compostela (5-3) were close to victory against the Euroleague club.
Lithuanian club at home 77:78 (21:19, 12:20, 22:18, 22:21) fell dramatically for Valencia (4-3).
With 19 seconds left in the game, veteran Albert Oliver made a free kick of the two and advanced the hosts (77:76), but in the decisive attack the success was accompanied by the guests – Sam Van Rossom lost two points, but Boyan Dubljevičius bounced the ball on attack and rebalanced the result.
The decisive attack by the Obradoiro CAB did not achieve its objective.
Birutis played solidly in the ranks of the hosts: 14 points (6/8 doubles, 2/3 penalty), 4 rebounds and 20 utility points in 26 minutes.
Beliauskas scored 9 points (0/3 double, 3/8 trit) for the losers in 20 minutes, made a successful pass and scored 2 utility points.
