“Traffic is hampered here, there are signs prohibiting car driving, but no one sees or ignores them,” the man who wrote to editorial staff in violation of the Road Traffic Rules (KET) was outraged.

Dainius Šalomskas, chief of the Vilna County Chief Police Commissariat Highway Police Board, told Delfi that officials know the aforementioned intersection well.
“I can only say that while our officers are working, the situation is under control. But as soon as they leave, they will continue to drive for our Lithuanians until they buy the road,” the interlocutor was surprised.
D. Šalomskas said that the police had organized a special measure during which they arrested all those who decided to pass the “brick” sign prohibiting traffic. As a result, 65 drivers were fined in two hours.

However, he did not hide the fact that drivers will see the police officers on duty at this intersection much more frequently.
Delfi recalls that a KET violation, when the driver does not observe the traffic prohibition signs, can be fined 30-90 euros and suspended from driving for 1-3 months.
