Rick Carlistle’s students in the first Western Conference quarterfinal game, away 113: 103 (33:30, 27:25, 26:25, 27:23) beat the Los Angeles Clippers and led 1-0 in a series of up to 4 wins.
After three halves, the guests had a 6-point lead (86:80), but the Clippers ran 18: 9 and scored 3 points (98:95) 6 minutes after District Rondo’s free throw (98:95).
Teams soon traded accurate shots, and Paul George’s colon tied the score from 100 minutes to 3 minutes, but then the Mavs began to dominate. The Dallas club had a decisive stretch of 9: 2, which was completed a minute before the placement of Kristap Porzing (109: 102).
For the rest of the time, the California team could no longer perform a miracle and the Mavericks triumphed.

It was the third Slovenian triple-double in the playoffs. No other Mavs basketball player has scored at least one triple-double at the end of the season.

For the Los Angeles team, Kawhi Leonard scored 26 points in 40 minutes (8/16 double, 1/6 trip, 7/9 penalty), bounced 10 and took 4 balls and had 5 assists.
George added 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

In the regular season, the Mavericks finished in sixth place and the Clippers in the West remained fourth.
