Donald Kairis’s students played in the first half of the match according to the highest standards: almost all of Vilnius’s 3-pointers (10 of 14) had a net, and when the teams entered the locker room, they even led 65:41.

According to the “Rytas” strategist, the crushing first half had a negative impact on the rest of the game, during which his students released the reins of the game and Pasvalys’ guests approached.

“The game started very well, perhaps too well, and that lightness affected the second half. We started the third quarter incorrectly, we started with a mistake, with non-aggressive decisions and then not only did the attack fail, but the defense also became hollow, we gave the opponent many three points. The hardest thing was asking the team to commit a foul and thus stop the opponent’s attack, but we will learn it ”, said the coach.

The LKL vice champions won 18 long-range bombs in the victory bout and displayed an enviable accuracy of 58%. It seems that such precision of the students surprised the strategist himself.
