The quarterfinal stage ended at the Rwanda African Championship, after which the top four teams emerged.
Walterio Tavareso led by Cape Verde entered the semifinals 79:71 (24:20, 19:15, 18:16, 18:20) taking down Uganda.
Domavas, who dominated the game, scored 23 points (9/13 colonies, 5/8 free throws) in 32 minutes, bounced 15 and took the ball, made 4 assists, blocked 5 shots, made 2 errors each time and fouled and scored 39 utility points.
Cape Verde entered the semifinals for the second time in the country’s history: in 2007 they managed to choose bronze. Uganda, meanwhile, has only competed in the continent’s championship for the third time overall, with sixth place being the best achievement.

Tunisia also reached the semifinals, 80:65 (14:15, 26:25, 23:11, 17:14) brought down South Sudan.
