He constantly called the woman on her cell phone and followed her in the car and on foot, waiting at home, thus seeking her unconditional obedience, causing the victim constant fear and tension.

It all started a few years ago, when in 2018. January 25, the woman reported that she wanted a divorce. Since then, Victor K., systematically intimidating, has tried to dissuade her from doing so, implying that a divorce can end badly for a woman.

For example, in 2018. On the night of April 22, on the stairs of the house, in view of the youngest son of the CDR, the husband released his wife with uncensored words, prevented her from entering the stairs and pinched her.

On September 27 of the same year, during the day, in Šilutė, Saulės akligatvio str. Víctor K., following the CDR, threatened her saying that “you will not live peacefully, you will cry.”

Almost a month later, the man tracked the CDR’s VW Passat to the supermarket and, at the entrance, heard the young son threaten the woman saying “you suffered.” This was followed by another threat: “neither you nor I will stay” and “you will not live peacefully.”

Persecution denied

Victor K. did not admit guilt on the indictment. He said the wives did not pursue. They were already divorced during the trial. And they started living together in 2014.

When he began to live alone, he settled in an adjoining house, for which he often knew her. After filing for divorce in court, he tried to preserve the marriage and return the wife to the family.

As a result, he had met with the CDR to discuss the consequences of the divorce. The man said he wanted to discuss the consequences of the divorce at the last meeting and thus peacefully end the case in court.

But, according to him, alluding to the fact that before the marriage they bought a garden for which he paid a thousand. and wants to get the money back, a dispute arose between them, during which the two said goodbye and parted ways after the verbal conflict. He did not speak any threatening words against the woman.

According to the man, he had visited the woman’s workplace two or three times. They did not insult her there, but once the gifts were taken from her and the children. He lived with the single woman for 3 years and was married for a year.

The man denied harassing or terrorizing the woman. He just said he wanted to reconcile with her, tried to talk about divorce and division of property. The man added that witnesses are gossiping about him because they are friends of his ex-wife.

Called the ugliest words

The victim, RJ, told the court that the divorce proceedings with his wife, Viktor K., had been going on since 2018. January. The court did not immediately separate them because they had lived in the marriage for only half a year. The divorce process was postponed for a year. Then he filed for divorce.

2018 In April 2006, the Šilutė District Court separated them, but Viktoras K. appealed the decision because he had borrowed 700 euros from his sister for his own needs during the marriage, which he thought they would repay. Co-workers of the victims also testified in court. He said the CDR used to cry, shake and get emotional at work. The coworker said that he had heard the man say to the woman: “do not attack, do not ask, come here, mandavoške, come here, you swear.”

The court found Victor K. guilty of terrorizing his wife during the divorce proceedings and, as already mentioned, sentenced him to one year and six months in prison. Postponement of the sentence for a period of one year.

Viktoras K. was forced to apologize to the victim within one month from the entry into force of the judgment (the judgment entered into force only after the SCL’s decision).
