The Euroleague has announced that the chief strategist of Istanbul Anadolu Efes has been disqualified from a match. This means that Ataman will have to go through a duel with Panathinaikos from Athens.

However, Ataman can still appeal this decision if he wishes.

The referees were angered at the end of the match when Shane Larkin rushed to the basket in the decisive attack, but no foul was recorded against the Anadolu Efes leader.

James Gisto’s block was declared clean and the duel ended with Bayern’s victory by 80:79.

As soon as the final siren sounded, Ataman ran to the judges and argued with the referees until they finally found their way out of the arena and into the locker room.
