In 2022, the city of Kaunas will seek to defend the name of the European Capital of Culture. The co-creation festival “Per_kūnija” is one of the parts of the Youth program. This will be the prelude to the European Youth Festival “Audra” in 2022.
The Kaunas 2022 team together with 80 partner organizations is already completing the preparation of the 2022 program for the guests from Kaunas and the Kaunas district. It will be presented in detail this September.
The year of the European Capital of Culture is expected to host more than 40 festivals, more than 60 exhibitions, more than 250 performing arts events, including more than 50 premieres, more than 250 concerts. All of them are open to the opinions, discussions and self-expression of all Lithuanian and European citizens, he writes in a press release.
