The surprise of April 1

This story can be called a very angry joke. Because it started on April 1. Goda (name changed, the true identity of the woman is known by the editorial board – Past ed.) In the afternoon she received a call from the Šeškinė polyclinic with an unexpected invitation to vaccinate with the Vaxzevria vaccine. Even after thinking about it carefully, you cannot find any reason why you have already received the vaccine: you do not belong to risk groups either by age or by the nature of your work, you do not suffer from allergies, chronic diseases or the like.

“It would have been better for those who need it to have received my vaccination,” the Vilnius resident now thinks, not expecting such an invitation or generally wanting or considering vaccination already now, because he was planning a trip.

The interviewee speculates that when someone refused to be vaccinated at the last minute, other candidates were sought simply by their last name. The call was so unexpected that she didn’t even stop asking why she was being vaccinated. Although hesitant, many agreed without hesitation, but at night they began to search for as much information as possible.

While waiting for the trip, they were more interested in whether the result after vaccination could be positive. Because they had read about similar cases, they only found no official explanations.

The information found on the Internet did not clear up the doubts. So the next morning at the polyclinic, before signing the necessary documents, he tried to hear the details of what to expect. The woman asked if it wouldn’t make sense to postpone vaccination after the trip because of all the anger, or at least choose another vaccine to prevent plans from falling apart.
