“This summer we spent in Lithuania, we drove with the children to Trakai, by the lake. In July, I saw that staircase and thought it would be ideal for a collection photo shoot. At the end of the summer, we didn’t just organize one photo shoot there, but we also filmed a video clip, as a presentation of the collection. ” 15 minutes The designer told LIFE.

L.Larionova hinted that she had shot and thought about inviting close friends and organizing a spontaneous presentation of the collection with the audience on the lake bridge.

“But the day before I looked at the forecasts, the weather didn’t show any, so the guests had to be canceled and we decided to do a photoshoot anyway. According to the forecasts, it was supposed to be rain-free until noon that day. day, but it would rain from morning, said the designer with a smile. “However, it was quite hot, there was a good mood and the team worked so professionally that everything went well.”

Video artist Jurgis Dūdėnas (JUDU productions), model Karina Korr (RUTA model management) and stylist Karina Leontjeva helped implement the presentation of the cold season collection.

Asked about the collection itself, her idea, the designer says that her axis was to reconcile incompatible things.

“I really wanted contrast, some kind of weirdness and I didn’t want anything traditional: no shoes, no podium, no soundtrack or the collection itself (smiling). So it came out as eclectic. The collection is dominated by unusual combinations of textures and colors, such as the classic Christmas tree, tweed or luxurious Italian suit wool, combined with lurex and other fabrics, instead of high heels: huge yellow rubber boots, which they gave the collection its charm and otherness, “said L. Lion.

When asked what led to the strangeness and unconventionality, the designer said it was probably circumstances that brought it all together.

“Always feel how they are taking you. You will not be fooled. I swam downstream with that COVID for half a year; there is nothing you can do, nothing is up to you, so I enjoyed the creations. I didn’t try to do everything right. I wanted it to be fresh, incomplete, neuzmozota, natural, free. It seems to me that this is exactly the fashion at the moment, ”said the designer.

For many years, L. Larionova presents her collections together with her friend the designer Egidijus Rainis. A joint presentation of their collections was also planned for the spring of this year, but when the country was quarantined, designers were forced to cancel all plans.

Instead of the usual show L. Larionova in her 2020. The spring and summer collection was presented in April at a St. Jono Street Gallery – she shot a video clip.

E.Rainys presented its latest collection at the launch event for the September issue of L’officiel Lietuva magazine.

“I know that it is common for everyone to present the collections together, but this year everything has been corrected by the coronavirus and the quarantine. There are no conspiracy theories here, we don’t really get angry, everything is fine between us, after hearing the question why Black and E. presented the collections separately, the designer said laughing and added:

– Everyone has their own projects, ideas, I chose this way to present my collection in spring, this second video is like an extension of the original idea. As we will see next year, we will see that it is really difficult to plan and forecast anything during this period. “

When asked in whom and in what mood he lives at the moment, L. Larionova said that he now spends a lot of time on his new project.

“Spring had slowed down everything, we were sitting at home for three months, but now, with the necessary safeguards to follow, everything continues, no one stands still. I said in spring, and now I share the same opinion, that it is important to move forward in terms of creativity. And you can always find ways to do it.

Here’s September 25-27. We are organizing a Creative Showroom event in Vilnius, which will be attended by more than 30 famous creators of professional design, jewelry, haberdashery, perfumery, ceramics and fashion illustration. It is both an effort to support creativity, creators so they can present their work, and an opportunity for people to become familiar with those works and with the creators themselves, ”shared the designer.
