On the morning of the sixth stage, it was announced that a decision had been made at 1 pm 30 minutes. it delayed the departure of the participants from the Al Qaisumah bivouac, and the route was shortened to 100 km to make it less difficult.
In the most diverse dunes, the participants had to travel 347 km (instead of 448 km) and another 341 km.

Organizers announced that only sand and dunes would wait for participants on Friday and predicted that some of the runners would return only at night.
This time, 9 trucks started against Benedikt Vanagas and Antanas Juknevičius, while 12 trucks against E.uškauskas and 13 against G.Petras.
The Spaniard triumphed in the automobile classification Carlosas Sainzas, after covering the distance in 3 hours. 38 min. 27 sec. From there 4 min. 3 sec. the saudi corridor lags behind Yazeedas Al Rajhi, or 7 min. 16 sec. – Nasseras Al-Attiyah. Romanian third Emanuel Gyenes finished 40 (+00: 59: 42) and moved further away from Lithuanian, now they are separated in the general classification by 38 minutes. 55 sec.
The Spanish won the sixth stage among motorcyclists Joan Barreda Bortas, finished in 3 hours. 45 min. 27 sec. Of him 13 sec. the Botswana runner lags behind Rossas Branchas, or 53 sec. – Australian Daniel sanders.
The leader of the general classification is Argentine Kevin Benavides this time he was only 17th (+00: 09: 53), only second Jose Ignacio Cornejo Florimo – 11 (+00: 06: 52) and the third one above Toby Price as – 7-as (+00: 03: 54).
After this stage, T. Price climbed to first place in the general classification (24 hours 8 minutes, 43 seconds), ahead of K. Benavides by 2 minutes. 16 sec. In third place is J. Florimo (+00: 02: 57).
Argento Orlando Terranova, who was in seventh place in the general classification, did not start in this speed section and had problems with the car and informed himself that this Dakar was probably over.
